Documents for Verifying Florida Residency
One of the following can serve as proof of Florida residency.

• A utility bill, bank, or credit card statement with the registrant’s legal name as the addressee.   The document must list a Florida address. The name on the document should match another form of picture ID to verify authenticity.

• A court-certified Certificate of Domicile (an official document obtainable in the local courts indicating the person has established residency here).  A valid Florida ID or driver’s license.

• The only "official" Florida ID is the one that is distributed to non-drivers by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

• A letter or form received by the school from an agency, certifying that the student does reside in the state of Florida The agency may choose to submit one letter for several students, or, preferably, a residency statement on voucher or referral form. Faxed or photocopied letters and forms are acceptable as long as the documents contain the signature of an agency

Fees
All students that are enrolled on a class at the main campus at Hialeah Adult Education Center will have to pay a $5.00 for the identification badge. 

Vocational and Community School classes have fees.  Please contact the school for more information. 

ESOL & Citizenship Classes
ESOL classes are during weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturday mornings.  Evening classes are offered from 7:00pm to 9:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. 

All students must take an entrance exam called CASAS to find out the level of the English class in which they must be placed in.

Vocational
At Hialeah Adult Education Center we offer many vocational courses including:

Industrial Education: Machine Shop, Auto Cad 1 & 2. Architectural Drafting, Automotive (A.S.E. Comprehensive)

Business Education: Internet / Power Point, Microsoft Keyboard, Introduction to Computers

Health Education: Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomy Allied Health, Nursing Assistant, Electrocardiograph and Allied Health.

Community School
 We offer many community school courses at Hialeah Adult Education Center.
